Lucy’s Journal - April 2023

Casey & Jed’s first kiss, in front of Montepulciano - Lopes Photography

Spring is here! Finally. And with that it brings Wiskow & White an early wedding season.

We’ve enjoyed a glorious wedding and an elopement in March. This means we put our new and improved ways of working to the test. I’m glad to say we passed the test.

At the moment our focus is on wrapping up our 2023 designs: measuring up spaces, working with florists to refine floral choices, finalising lighting choices, briefing in stationery, purchasing décor and a whole lot more.

I’ve had some beautiful pieces delivered recently - unique vases, purpose made beeswax candles and some stunning watercolour stationery. Bringing it all together is going to be a complete joy! I have a vivid imagination and can see every wedding very clearly in my head - we say that I live our weddings a hundred times over before we have them…but nothing is quite like being at them!!

At the end of this month we’ll be wrapping up our 2024 planning. All 18 of our weddings are in gorgeous shape, with suppliers finalised and plans ready to pick up in the autumn. This means the team and our couples can have a wedmin break and we go in to the summer with calm couples and epic weddings waiting for us.

Last week we opened our 2025 calendar. We’ve enhanced our service, invested in our team’s development and added more touches to our couples experience to ensure it’s an incredibly special and personal one. Our waitlist have been contacted to book an appointment with me and we’re open for new enquiries now.

As I start to pack for moving over to Italy in just a month’s time, it’s impossible not to reflect on last year. At this point we were nervously excited - we had double the weddings to deliver (covid reschedules) and an incredibly high pressure summer ahead. It was a summer we will never, ever forget. It was extremely hard work but such a joy to see so many couples get married - finally!! We’re thinking of them all coming up to their first anniversaries and will be raising a prosecco to you all.

We had the pleasure of sipping a few proseccos with our London based 2023 couples last weekend. We gathered in London Bridge and chatted…you guessed it…all things weddings. Seeing so many people I care about dearly, connect and get excited about each others weddings was so much fun!

Here’s to a calm and gentle summer of sun, smiles and f**king epic weddings. I’ll see you in Italy.

With love from Lucy x
