Lucy’s Journal - Feb, 23

We find ourselves in February – the month of love. I love Feb – the other side of a cold, dark and very busy January – a short and sweet month with, if you’re lucky some romance, some pancakes and for me and my family always a trip over to Italy.

This week we’re heading over to see the team and as is becoming a tradition a packed agenda of venue visits and site inspections, supplier meetings, team meetings and training and more.

We’re holding a dinner for our cherished supplier colleagues to celebrate the year gone by and what’s ahead for us all this year. It’s been quite the winter for suppliers, recovering from such a busy summer and facing challenges in how to do business in a post covid world. There’s no doubt that it’s got harder to work in Italy with price rises across the board, changes to business rules and regulations and uncertain weather patterns.

After a flurry of busy-ness and confusion as seemingly all suppliers changed the way they work and their pricing, we seem to be back to normal. Things are calmer, demand has steadied out. And at Wiskow & White and La Lista we’ve done a lot to support suppliers business strategies moving forward alongside developing our understanding of the current market, the patterns, trends and changes as well as the prices so we can best estimate and predict change for our future clients.

I’m sure I’ll on Instagram showing you around the gorgeous venues I visit and the copious pasta consumed. Hopefully see you there.

With love from Lucy x
